Your files. On your computer.
Backed up in the UK.
The Vaulex app puts a real folder on your PC that stays in step with your secure cloud, both ways, every five minutes. Open and edit files with no internet at all — on a train, on site, in a basement — and everything catches up the moment you are back online.
Built for real businesses, not perfect wi-fi.
Most cloud drives assume you are always online and always careful. This one assumes you are busy.
Works with no internet
Your files are genuinely on your computer, so they open instantly and work anywhere. Edits sync automatically when you are back online. A web-only drive cannot do this.
It will not corrupt your files
Every file is checked after transfer. If a copy does not match the original exactly, the app refuses to write it and tries again — a bad copy is never saved over your good one.
It never silently overwrites
Edited the same file on two computers? You keep both versions, clearly named, so nothing is ever quietly lost. You choose which one wins.
A brake on mass deletion
If a sync would delete an unusual number of files — a slip, a rogue click, a tidy-up gone wrong — the app stops and asks you first.
Choose what lives on this PC
Simple tick-boxes decide which folders stay on each computer. Your 90 GB archive can live safely in the cloud while your laptop keeps only what it needs.
Share a file in a right-click
Right-click any file and choose Get a shareable link — it lands on your clipboard, ready to paste into an email. The other person needs no account and no password.
Lives in File Explorer
“Vaulex Pro Cloud Drive” sits in your Explorer sidebar, pinned to Quick Access. Save straight into it from Word, Excel or anything else — no browser needed.
Stored in the UK
Your files are held in a secure UK data centre — not scattered around the world. Good for your clients, your contracts and your peace of mind.
Honest progress, real ETA
Moving a whole archive? Watch live progress with a genuine time remaining — no mystery spinners, no guessing whether it is stuck.
Three steps. About two minutes.
You do not need to be good with computers. Just follow these in order.
Download the app
Click the download button on this page. It is a normal Windows installer.
Sign in to downloadRun it
Double-click the file you have just downloaded.
Windows will show an “Unknown publisher” notice while our new signing certificate is being issued. That is expected for now: click More info, then Run anyway. It will disappear once the certificate arrives shortly.
Enter your Vaulex username and password.
Use your username, not your email address. It is the single most common mistake — your username is in your welcome email.
That is it. Your Vaulex Pro Cloud Drive folder appears in File Explorer, pinned to Quick Access, and your files begin arriving. Anything you drop in from now on syncs to the cloud automatically.
It is just a folder. That is the point.
No new software to learn. Four things worth knowing.
Saving straight from Word or Excel
- Click File, then Save As, then Browse.
- In the left-hand list, click Vaulex Pro Cloud Drive (it is pinned to Quick Access).
- Name the document and click Save. It syncs to the cloud automatically — even if you are offline right now, it catches up later.
Sending a file to your accountant
- Right-click the file in your Vaulex folder.
- On Windows 11, click Show more options first.
- Click Get a shareable link — the link is now on your clipboard.
- Paste it into an email. They click, they download. No account needed, and your password never leaves you.
Choosing what lives on this computer
Open the Vaulex app and pick Choose folders. Tick what you want on this PC; untick what should stay cloud-only. A ticked folder is available offline; an unticked one is safe in the cloud and one tick away when you need it. Ideal for big archives and small laptops.
Signing out safely
Signing out of the app on a shared or departing computer asks you one clear question: keep the local files, or remove them from this PC? Either way, everything stays safe in your cloud.
Four quiet protections, always on.
You will probably never notice them. That is how it should be.
Two-way sync, every five minutes
Work on your PC or on the website — both stay in step without you thinking about it.
Every transfer verified
Each file is checked after it moves. A copy that does not match the original is refused, never written.
Conflicts keep both copies
Two edits to the same file become two clearly named files. Nothing is silently overwritten, ever.
Big deletes are questioned
An unusual number of deletions pauses the sync and asks you before anything goes.
